Starboard Card partnered with The Superyacht Group (SYG) as their Headline Partner to support their flagship event, the Superyacht Forum Live. The event took place in Amsterdam alongside METSTRADE, the world renowned marine exhibition.
The upcoming Superyacht Forum 2023 is shaping up to be a crucial gathering for industry insiders. It offers an immersive schedule featuring innovative networking sessions, partner roundtables, strategic workshops, and a critical Keynote Debate each day. The forum is a unique platform for a broad array of speakers and experts, who come together to share their insights and perspectives on a variety of topics including sustainability, technology, design, and business strategy. Delegates are encouraged to question conventional practices and contribute to shaping the future trajectory of the industry.
The 2022 event was guided by the theme “Evolve or Repeat.” This theme underscored the necessity for genuine industrial evolution within the yachting industry. It invited industry players to reconsider their operations, focusing on key issues such as resource waste in yacht building and the quest for sustainable energy solutions.
Focusing on topics like:
“A Yacht Builders Wake Up Call, why are we wasting so much time, money and materials?”
“The Energy Conundrum, what really makes sense in our quest for Zero?”
While at the SYFL, The Superyacht Group’s Editor, Jack Hogan, interviewed our CEO, Dan Lane. During their conversation, Dan elaborated on how his technological expertise and passion for yachting came together to spur an innovative FinTech venture.
One of the most thought-provoking moments at the show was the appearance of the activist group, Extinction Rebellion. The industry displayed readiness to engage them in the “Evolve or Repeat” conversation. In a significant collaborative gesture, Martin Redmayne, the Chairman of The Superyacht Group, invited the group onstage to discuss the environmental impact of the industry and the ways we could improve our practices for a sustainable future.
